Where to next? | Finding Travel Inspirations

I often find myself in the departure lounge after another amazing holiday watching air planes taking off and asking myself “where to next?” Even before getting on the air plane, i’m already dreaming of my next adventure. And especially when it’s a New Year (Hello 2018), wanderlust is even more strong.

My wanderlust folder on Pinterest gets bigger every day. Pinterest is a great site to share travel guides from people who have already visited different countries, helpful infographics of a country that you may need to know before visiting & a good link to finding great blogs.

Many of my travels have been inspired by the stunning Instagram posts all over my feed (#InstagramMadeMeDoIt). It’s a great visual platform that is not only used by travel bloggers but also photographers & locals. It’s like having your own personal virtual tour guide in real time.

I am a member of two great female travel Facebook groups that have well over 500,000 members collectively from all around the world. Both of these groups are amazing in supporting fellow female travellers in their travels whether solo or in a group. The groups are a space to give helpful travel advice & recommendations, tell stories and show off amazing of their travels.

Where do you find travel inspiration?

  1. Instagram is definitely my main source of travel inspiration. I haven’t jumped on to Pinterest yet but might have to check it out. Thanks for the suggestions πŸ™‚

  2. I am also very guilty of asking the question β€˜Where next?’ towards the end of one adventure. I love the travel photos on Instagram and the advice that is so easily available on Pinterest. My main inspiration is a map of the world and which flights are cheap at the time. We look on skyscanner for the first country that we haven’t been to, is cheap and takes our fancy.

  3. How do you manage the desire to go to all the beautiful places you see on Pinterest and Instagram? I often get overwhelmed with possibility, a #FOMO of sorts! Thanks for sharing your inspiration πŸ™‚

    1. I often get #FOMO at the wrong time when I have no money πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ and end up with the longest travel list πŸ˜…
